Mrs. Perron’s art program is a standards based curriculum in which basic skills are introduced, developed, and built upon as students progress through each grade level.
The curriculum is specifically designed to allow for flexibility and curricular integration. Most of the lessons are matched to the core classroom subjects in order to extend student learning. Aesthetic perception, art history, cultural awareness, and art criticism are taught as an integral part of the lessons. The elements of line, color, shape, texture, form, value, and space are woven into the curriculum. Media and methods studied include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, collage, graphics, and architectural/environmental arts.
